TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade — The Short Version

TabTrade.com went live in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, the breadth is solid.

The Software

You get: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Getting both is useful. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That should make the platform set once it is live.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

This is the area where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. The point is the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point have infrastructure at this level.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail that matters. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your assessment.

The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You put money in, TabTrade credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
